CUSTODIAN JOB DESCRIPTION
September, 2022
It is the responsibility of the custodian of Gibsonburg United Methodist Church to see that the church is properly maintained and kept clean. The job constantly varies and no two weeks are entirely the same. The custodian is expected to get the job done and understands that some weeks will require more than others. A great deal of the custodian’s responsibility lies with the custodian’s ability to see things that need to be done and schedule them into the allotted number of hours.
The custodian will work 12-14 hours per week and will be paid an hourly rate of $10.00 - $12.00 per hour, commensurate with experience. The church pays Social Security. Any hours above the allotted hours must first be verified by the Lead Pastor prior to being eligible for payment.
Below is a list of specific responsibilities for the custodian.
